Guinness Global Investors has reinforced its commitment to dividend-focused investing with the launch of the Guinness Pan-European Equity Income Fund. This new strategy, developed in response to increasing client demand, will be managed by Nick Edwards and Will James, bringing together extensive expertise in European and UK equity income investing.
Leveraging a proven dividend-growth approach
The Guinness Pan-European Equity Income Fund applies the well-established quality-focused dividend-growth methodology that has been a hallmark of Guinness’s equity income strategies since 2010. The strategy, which originated with the Guinness Global Equity Income Fund, has successfully identified and invested in UK dividend-paying stocks over the past decade. Now, the approach is being expanded to include a broader European focus, capturing income opportunities across both continental Europe and the UK.
Edward Guinness, CEO of Guinness Global Investors, emphasized the relevance of this strategy in today’s investment landscape:
“Asset allocators are taking a fresh look at the opportunities in European and UK equities, particularly as global events continue to highlight the diversification benefits this region can offer. The Guinness Pan-European Equity Income Fund follows an approach that has been tested through different market cycles and is well established within our range of equity income strategies.”
Experienced leadership and strategic expansion
The fund will be co-managed by Nick Edwards and Will James, who already oversee the Guinness European Equity Income Fund. Their investment process is closely aligned, ensuring a consistent and disciplined approach across both funds.
James joined Guinness in early 2024, bringing deep experience in European equity income investing, including his previous role managing the Premier Miton European Equity Income Fund. Prior to that, he managed multiple European equity income strategies at Standard Life Investments from 2009 to 2020.
Edwards highlighted the strong foundation of European and UK markets for dividend investors:
“Like Europe, the UK is home to some world-leading companies with a well-established dividend culture, making it an attractive hunting ground for those seeking both income and capital growth.”
James echoed this sentiment, adding:
“This new Pan-European portfolio is designed to leverage the expertise of our team, which has been successfully investing in UK stocks for over a decade. By integrating our research and insights, we aim to build a high-quality portfolio that delivers sustainable income for investors.”
Market availability and future plans
The Guinness Pan-European Equity Income Fund is domiciled in Ireland and is currently available for distribution in select European markets. Plans are underway to expand its reach further across the region, making it accessible to a wider investor base.
With a track record of delivering disciplined, research-driven equity income strategies, Guinness Global Investors continues to broaden its suite of offerings, providing investors with diversified, high-quality dividend growth opportunities in an evolving market environment.
